String Quartet is the ideal way to create a touch of class and elegance on your wedding day. We are highly experienced in providing quality live string music during wedding ceremonies and receptions and can make your day unique to you.

We are happy to offer advice and discuss your choice of music for your wedding, as we understand how important it is to create the perfect mood and have music that you will remember for years to come.

We are very happy to arrange special requests which you may have, that are not currently on our repertoire list. These arrangements are chargeable at an extra cost.

The Marriage Ceremony

We usually play for about 30 minutes before the ceremony begins, playing beautiful and elegant music as your guests are arriving.

Entrance music: Popular choices include Pachelbel's Canon, or more traditional pieces such as Mendelssohn's Wedding March and Clarke's Trumpet Voluntary. Or some couples prefer a string quartet arrangement of a pop song such as ' Make You Feel My Love' by Adele or ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’. A section of your chosen piece will be played as the bride walks down the aisle.

Signing the register: Often a slower expressive piece works well for this part of the ceremony. We have played pieces such as Bach's Air on a G string, Elgar's Chanson de Matin, through to 'Moon River' and 'What a Wonderful World' by Louis Armstrong. The choice is yours!

Exit of the happy couple: As the happy couple leave pieces such as La Rejouissance from The Fireworks or Handel's Water Music are often played. Or how about something more modern such as 'Love Story' by Taylor Swift, ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ by Stevie Wonder or 'Viva La Vida' by Coldplay?

Drinks reception

It is very easy for the quartet to move from the ceremony room to the reception. A string quartet can create a really special atmosphere where guests can relax and enjoy themselves. We are experienced in choosing appropriate repertoire to suit your occasion and have an interesting repertoire to cater for all musical tastes. Our repertoire includes classical pieces, ragtime, folk, tangos, through to more jazzy pieces, film and TV music and pop songs. For more information see repertoire.
